About Us

Discipline, ambition and a Surulere school that expects more.

Since 2001, Victoria High School has prepared students for examinations, for university and for a life that asks something of them, carrying forward the standard set in 1971 by our sister school, Victoria Children's School.

The Victoria High character

Integrity before advantage
Discipline as a daily habit
Leadership through service
Academic rigour
Curiosity and initiative
Respect for every person
Our people

The teachers are the school.

Everything else a school can buy, from a laboratory to a coding room to a set of instruments, is only worth what the person standing in front of the class can do with it. Ours are qualified, long-serving, and still learning.

Still have a question? Talk to us
What is expected of a Victoria High School student?

Punctuality, a properly worn uniform, completed prep, and courtesy towards staff and fellow students. The rules are few, and they are applied consistently.

How qualified are the teachers?

Every teacher is a subject specialist, interviewed and observed teaching before appointment, and reviewed each term on their students’ results.

Where do your graduates go?

To universities in Nigeria and abroad. Our SS3 team works with each student on applications, references and entry requirements.

How do you handle bullying?

Every reported case is investigated the same day, the parents of everyone involved are contacted, and any sanction is confirmed in writing.
