About Us

Victoria Children's School, built around the child.

Since 1971, we have grown a nurturing early-years and primary school where every child is known by name, seen for who they are and encouraged to go further. Since 2001, our pupils have continued their journey at our sister school, Victoria High School.

What Guides Us

The things we will not compromise on

Every child known by name
Structure that creates confidence
Character taught alongside academics
Safe, supervised play
Warm daily contact with parents
Technology used with purpose
Our people

The teachers are the school.

Everything else a school can buy, from a laboratory to a coding room to a set of instruments, is only worth what the person standing in front of the class can do with it. Ours are qualified, long-serving, and still learning.

Still have a question? Talk to us
What is your approach to discipline?

Firm, explained and never humiliating. Children are told what is expected and why, and are always given the chance to put things right.

How are teachers selected?

Every teacher is interviewed, teaches a demonstration lesson to a class, and is reviewed each term on the progress of the children in their care.

How do you keep in touch with parents?

A written report every term, two parent-teacher meetings a year, and a class teacher you can reach through the school office on any school day.

Is the campus secure?

There is one controlled gate, children are collected only by named guardians who sign them out, and staff are on duty at every break.
